Description
USask has purchased a campus-wide license for Zoom as a platform for delivering courses online and hosting meetings with remote participants. Zoom is an easy to use web conferencing platform that offers a wide range of features. Learn about Zoom where you can virtually meet with others for classes, webinars and meetings. This course includes 3 separate training sessions: Zoom Basics, Zoom Advanced, Using Zoom in Canvas.

Objectives:
Zoom Basics: By the end of this 90 minute session, participants will be able to:
- install Zoom on their device
- log in and make changes to their user profile
- find and adjust settings for their Zoom meetings
- understand and operate the Zoom meeting interface
- schedule a Zoom meeting from the web portal, Zoom desktop app, and Outlook.
Zoom Advanced: By the end of this 60 minute session, participants will be able to:
- understand and adjust more advanced settings
- use Zoom breakout rooms
- use Zoom polling
- sharing whiteboards
- annotations
- Zoom recordings and recording settings
Using Zoom in Canvas: By the end of this 60 minute session, participants will be able to:
- Add Zoom Meetings to you Canvas course
- Schedule classes for the term
- Record and share videos with the class (Zoom cloud and Panopto)
- Setup polls before a class
- Add TA's as alternate hosts to your Zoom classes
- Schedule appointment bookings for office hours
